Supervision

Creating intentional relationships that work for you.

Good psychoptherapy doesn’t happen in isolation.

I provide Supervision for trainee, newly qualified, and experienced Psychotherapists through my work at Therapy Nottingham both online and in-person.

As a Supervisor, my approach aligns with my integrative therapeutic stance, emphasizing the multifaceted relationships that exist between the client, the Psychotherapist, myself as the Supervisor, and the broader context within which the work takes place.

Above all, Supervision is intended to be a supportive relationship, and the specific details of how it is beneficial will vary from individual to individual and from one moment to the next. Some examples of what this could be are:

  • Looking at the specifics of your practice

  • Reviewing recordings of your work

  • Explore transferential, unconscious and parallel processes

  • Considering safeguarding and ethical issues

  • Celebrating successes, as well as reflecting on the less successful moments

  • Identifying areas for future professional growth and development

  • Supporting academic studies
